I can remember when I was first introduced to the computer and how amazed I was with the information available at your fingertips any time of day I desired, a virtual library sitting right there in my home ready  to be explored. With all the excitement, however, there was also disappointment because of the lack of visual images.  That was a long time ago and things change so rapidly with technology that what is new today will be outdated by next year.  One thing that has greatly improved is resources for artists.  Years ago I remember doing a search for a website with information for artists and there was not that many, but the one I found overwhelmed me with the amount of information it was sharing. An expansive website, Wetcanvas. com serves many genres of art including but not limited to drawing, painting in every medium imaginable, sculpture, fiber, glass, clay, digital, aviation, figure, and fantasy art to name a few.  There are 10,493,370 reference photos which verify the presence of a visual web and internet. A critique center is offered if you choose.  There is information for all levels of experience from beginner to advanced and the site boosts a membership of over 174,00 active members with another 250,000 visiting every month. membership is free but a paid level is also offered.  Launched in 1998, Wetcanvas continues to a great resource for all genres of artists.
