By #JCW June 12 x 12 Abstract Painting Project Week 3, I was feeling some frustration. I had a planned trip out-of-town and a couple other things happened that were causing me to be behind with painting a painting every day. I tried to plan and not become to panicked and started trying to do two a day to catch up. I also tried to allow some ley way for the trip and then when I was almost caught up found out that I was going to have another small trip the following weekend. Not to be deterred I bought some packs of canvasses and continued to paint.
I am glad I did. The paintings that I did in #JCW June 12 x 12 Abstract Painting Project Week 3. are some of my favorite I did during this project. The limitation of the three paint colors was not a really a problem as I began to stretch the possibilities of my choices. I tried using the paint thinned down and tried using just two colors instead of three. Softening the colors was also a priority as I reviewed the other paintings. Variety of painting effects and texture was a goal.
