Orange Orchids 1, Botanical Acrylic Painting, Fine Art is the first in a series of acrylic paintings in a series of acrylic paintings I did of the orchids I saw during my visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for the orchid show. The orchids were raised inside the Fuqua Conservatory which is a controlled moisture and humidity environment. Flowers and especially orchids continue to be one of my favorite subjects to paint. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite places to visit for inspiration for my paintings and drawings. It offers a wide variety of inspiration that changes with each season. I am constantly amazed by Mother Nature’s art and paint box. The colors are pure joy. The painting is 20 x 20 x 3/4 inches on stretched canvas with wrapped and painted edges. No frame is necessary.
