Desegregation Civil Rights Collage Painting 1 Fine Art  is an artwork of mine that I am very proud of.  I had been thinking about something like this for a long time. I had researched years ago headlines from the newspapers during the Civil Rights era. The realization of how shocking they were occurred to me.  I also realized there is a whole new generation that is not familiar with the events during this historical time. My desire in creating this collage and the others that have followed is to educate younger generations of the faces and events that occurred during this time frame. Since most of the photos and images that relate to the civil rights movement have been filed away, I felt it would be more interesting to use the actual images that for me to paint them. The fact that these images were a part of the history of that time frame surrounding the issues with segregation was important.

This Desegregation Collage Painting 1 Fine Art  is  16 x 20 x 5/8 inches in size and is unframed.  It is on gallery board (wood) and has painted edges so no frame is necessary.  It is coated with three layers of matte varnish to protect the surface. Free shipping in the USA.
